Maria Beatrice Coppi, particularly through empathetic languages, such as painting and sculpture, tends to raise public awareness on issues of reception and acceptance of refugees.

 

The reception of the “different”, the stranger whose insertion in a community is not discounted but full of uncertainties and fears, is for contemporary society a central challenge. How does the ‘ “other” – the one who has otherwise than “we”, our culture, our way of living and thinking – can be welcomed instead of being rejected? ”

 

The reception is played by Maria Beatrice Coppi as indispensable attitude in order to enter into a fruitful dialogue with the world. The works they want in some way to reflect on the ethical character of reception.
