The issue of corruption in the work of Maria Beatrice Coppi

In her sculptures and his paintings Coppi Maria Beatrice is inspired by the world around it, with the aim to draw attention to issues that affect the lives of men.

The artist uses his art to raise public awareness of important and difficult issues such as corruption, a courageous choice, an uncomfortable subject, which addresses without compromise.

Corruptibility is an endemic characteristic of the man, who always has existed and always will exist.

Maria Beatrice Coppi develops a deep and analytical discourse that touches every aspect of the problem and does staying away from the rhetoric that would have depleted his work making stereotype. The look of Coppi is a searching look and deep with a signature style that distinguishes him and allowing him to see the world from the right distance, no opting out from the issues facing and at the same time not get carried away by emotion and lyricism.

Coppi man chooses to speak in metaphors that draw their arguments from the animal kingdom, with the scientific approach of a naturalist and with the same didactic irony that used in his Aesop Fables and here appear the wolf, a symbol of greed, understood as corruption of matter, of instability and individualism.

The exhibition of Painting and Sculpture Light and Darkness (1 – 30 October 2016 | Florence) through the exhibition of the works of Maria Beatrice Coppi, will decline, among other things, the ever present issue of corruption.
