Maria Beatrice Coppi portrays, through his works, the tragedy of illegal immigration in human beings who flee their home countries with the hope of improving their lives. Nameless faces that are often taken as a group in dilapidated boats and which is discussed in an almost detached in various news reports and that there often causes it to turn off the television so as not to have to listen to the usual rhetoric of political speeches accusing colleagues of such emergency humanitarian. And we, with our busy mind of very different problems from those human beings, they often look so distracted and quickly and we comment with the usual phrase that is repeated constantly: “Poor things, what a tragedy”, aware of our powerlessness facing a similar emergency.

According to the artist, there is an obligation to transmit the messages which invite companies not to look away from the suffering; and through his artistic works, Maria Beatrice Coppi tells a daily tragedy that will remain etched in the memory of our posterity, and through which shines through all his ability to empathize with the pain of others.
